Berlin is a beautiful European city of a thousand faces

Berlin is the largest city of Germany and at the same time is a Bundesland, i.e. the city-state. This is an important political, cultural and scientific center of the country which also hosts the most important trade fairs in Europe. Its population is about 3.5 million inhabitants.
That is primarily eager to see the visitors of Berlin, of course, the Brandenburg Gate of 26 meters high and 65 meters wide, the construction of which was started in 1788 and today is a symbol of the city, extending in one part of the boulevard Unter den -Linda. This gate have witnessed a variety of historic moments of Berlin and its visiting creates a lot of deep emotions. Along the avenue are located the most important buildings of the city, among which is the Humboldt University, the State Opera, Cathedral of St. Hedwig and others.

In the central district of Mitte you can visit the Museum Island, disposed between the River Spree and Kupfergraben channel. Old Museum, originally known as the Royal Museum, was built in 1822 – 1830 years by Karl Friedrich Schinkel. It preserves the classic collection of antiquities, also some of Greek and Roman artifacts. The new museum, which was rebuilt after the devastation of World War II, was re-opened in 2009 and holds exhibits of Egyptian and prehistoric art.
